Corto pero completo!!!

Hola chicos! el sábado me fui de ruta de un día con la moto... El paseo, circular, acabó siendo de 300 kilómetros, de los cuales 150 fueron de ruta 100% trail. Al principio ibamos a ir dos pero a última hora se cayó el que venía y decidí irme sola. Os cuento la vuelta que me dí:

Quito - Nono - Nanegalito - Nanegal - Selva Alegre - Otavalo - Quito

Después de engrasar la cadena y llenar el tanque de combustible, me dirigí a Nono, carretera que conozco bastante bien. De camino, intentando subir a la Occidntal, me encontré esta cerrajería tan curiosa:

El clima acompañaba. Eran las nueve y media de la mañana y hacía un sol espectacular. Una de las cosas que me gusta de subir a Nono es las vistas que hay de Quito desde ahí arriba. Además, hoy tanto el Cayambe como el Cotopaxi se dignaron a saludarme.

Una vez en Nono, empezaba la parte de pista. He pasado por aquí unas cuantas veces pero nunca había tenido un sol tan radiante y un cielo tan azul.

Nono está situado justo detrás de los Pichincha. Pude reconocer al Ruco Pichincha por sus picos:

Después de algún que otro incidente sin mayor riesgo,

conseguí llegar al primer cruce de caminos. En principio, la idea era bajar a Mindo para después subir a Nanegalito. Aquí el cruce:

Pero en estos días está lloviendo mucho. Los tramos sombríos estaban con barro y mis ruedas sin tacos y casi sin dibujo. Sabía que si iba hacia la izquierda me iba a encontrar una subida sombría llena de curvas y piedras, y decidí mejor tirar a la derecha para ir directamente hacia Nanegalito, y rumbo al norte. Eran ya las once y media, y la decisión fue acertaba porque conseguí completar el camino con las justas.

Ya eran más de la una. Varias veces pensé "tengo que parar a comer y beber agua" pero no encontré dónde el selva alegre y seguí y seguí y seguí, hasta que encontré el lugar ideal para comerme la torta de guineo y beber el poco agua que traía en la mochila.

Salí pitando en cuanto ví que se cerraba el cielo y empezaba a correr aire más frío. Ya tocaba subir y meterse entre las nubes:

Y al final de la ruta apareció el Imbabura frente a mí. Paré a hacer unas fotos, aún a pesar de las nubes negras que tenía encima de mí.

Mala decisión, porque entre que sacaba la foto intentando que se vieran tanto mi moto como la montaña, empezó a granizar. Bueno, a caer granizos del tamaño de canicas.

Dolía, madre mía cómo dolía. Decidí esperar a que pasara, porque al montar en la moto sentía dolor por las pedradas. Esperé, sufrí, puse la espalda y el casco para combatir los golpes, y al final decidí que ya no podía más.

Siguiendo el mismo camino que el agua, bajé para, al de menos de un kilómetro, encontrar calor, la carretera seca, y la tormenta lejos de mí.

Y volví feliz a casa, con un tráfico horrible en la entrada de Quito y un atardecer maravilloso. En el camino el Cayambe volvió a saludar:

El tipo se me instaló en el casco y empezó a caminar por él mientras yo iba conduciendo. El viento no le importaba nada. Fue muy curioso.
